Costs rise. Ours will too, eventually. But the people who commit first shouldn't be the ones who pay for it.

If plans change, cancel free of charge up to 90 days before your start date. No penalty. No fee. Your money comes back.

We can offer this for one reason: we're confident in how we match people. Almost nobody cancels. So the cost of giving you an exit is far smaller than the cost of you hesitating at the door.

A note — we refund the full amount you paid. International wire fees and exchange-rate differences are charged by the banks, not by us, so those can't be returned.

🚌 One perfect day outside Seoul

It would be a shame to see only Seoul. So we send you out for a full day, somewhere the trains take an hour or two to reach.

This isn't a tour package. Your hosting tutor is with you the whole day, as your guide. It's a day spent speaking Korean — buying tickets, asking directions, ordering lunch. Every one of those moments is the lesson continuing. For most students, it's the first day the sentences from class actually get used.

🌊 Gangneung — two hours by train, and the East Sea (with a friend)

Jungang Market → Songjeong Beach → a sea-view café → seafood dinner

The day opens at the market. Gangneung's famous sweet-and-spicy fried chicken, fish cakes still hot from the fryer, and a few short exchanges in Korean with the woman running the stall. Then the beach — and the East Sea, all the way to the horizon.

In the afternoon you sit in a café facing the water and do nothing at all, which is allowed. Gangneung is Korea's coffee town. When the light goes gold, dinner is seafood.

🏮 Jeonju — walk a Joseon street in hanbok (with a friend)

Rent a hanbok → Hanok Village → Gyeonggijeon & Jeondong Cathedral → bibimbap → Nambu Market street food

You change into hanbok first. Then you walk a village of more than 700 tiled-roof houses, where not taking photographs turns out to be impossible.

You'll pass Gyeonggijeon, which holds the portrait of the Joseon dynasty's founding king; Jeondong Cathedral, red brick and a century old; and Omokdae, where the whole village opens up below you. Lunch is Jeonju bibimbap — this is the city that made it. The afternoon is spent eating your way down a market lane.

🏯 Suwon — a UNESCO fortress and a giant mall, same day

Hwaseong Fortress → Hwaseong Haenggung Palace → Tongdak Street → Starfield Suwon

Hwaseong is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You walk a wall built more than two centuries ago, looking down over the modern city on the other side, then tour Haenggung, the palace where King Jeongjo stayed. There’s traditional archery if you want it.

Lunch is on Tongdak Street, Suwon’s fried chicken row. Then you cross town to Starfield Suwon for Byeolmadang Library — a wall of books several storeys high — and whatever shopping you feel like. Old Korea and new Korea, in one afternoon.

🎢 Lotte World — in a Korean school uniform (uniform rental included)

Uniform rental → indoor Adventure → Magic Island → the ice rink

That school uniform you’ve seen in Korean dramas — you get to wear it. Renting one before going into the park is something Korean students have done for years, and it’s half the fun.

Inside there’s Adventure, entirely indoors so rain doesn’t matter; Magic Island, a castle sitting out on the lake; and an ice rink that stays frozen all year. This is the trip people come back with the most photographs from.

Gangneung and Jeonju involve longer travel, so they’re offered to students who apply together with a friend. Students coming on their own choose between Suwon and Lotte World.

🎁 A welcome kit, waiting in your room

A personal tumbler · toothbrush · indoor slippers · a notebook and pen · and a Korean card in your own design

Half of it is practical. The tumbler you'll carry to class. The slippers you'll wear the moment you step through the door, because in a Korean home shoes come off at the entrance — and on your first evening, nobody will have told you that yet.

The card is the other half. It's a real prepaid card, made in the style of a Korean ID — your name and your photograph on the front, or an illustration of you instead, whichever you'd rather. It arrives with ₩5,000 already on it: tap it on the bus, pay for lunch at the convenience store, top it up whenever you like.

It's the piece students keep. Long after the notebook is full, the card is still in the wallet.

No language school does this. We do it for one reason: this isn’t a school. It’s a home.

💬 Class starts before your flight does

Normally you pay, and then nothing happens until departure day. Not here.

Ninety days before you leave, your teacher is assigned — and you meet online twice, thirty minutes each, before you fly.

🎬 You'll want to show someone

We photograph and film through your stay — the day trip, the classroom, dinner at home — and every original file is yours to keep.

And one of them we edit for you: a single short video, cut for Reels or Shorts, ready to post the day you get it.

Four weeks from now, the memory softens at the edges. The file doesn't.

A note — filming is arranged with your consent in advance, and we ask separately before using anything for our own channels.

We’re not selling lesson hours

We’re selling four to twelve weeks of Korean life — being asked whether you slept well, explaining your day in halting Korean over dinner, following your hosting tutor to a city you’d never heard of on a Saturday.

We’ll hold a place for that. If you change your mind, just tell us 90 days out.

Terms & conditions

Eligibility and period

• These benefits apply to 2027 departures booked on or before October 31, 2026, on stays of three weeks or more.

• Eligibility is determined by the date your booking is confirmed.

Price hold

• Bookings confirmed during 2026 are charged at 2026 rates for 2027 departures.

• If you change your length of stay or lesson hours, the 2026 rate for the revised option applies.

Cancellation and refunds

• You may cancel free of charge up to 90 days before your programme start date, with a full refund of amounts paid.

• Within 90 days of the start date, our standard refund terms apply.

• International wire transfer fees and exchange-rate differences are charged by banks and are not refundable.

Day trip

• Included once per stay.

• Stated values are estimates: approximately $700 for Gangneung and Jeonju, approximately $400 for Suwon and Lotte World.

• Students applying with a friend choose between Gangneung and Jeonju. Students applying on their own choose between Suwon and Lotte World.

• Dates are arranged with your hosting tutor. Destinations or dates may change due to weather, closures or other local conditions.

Welcome kit

• Comprises a tumbler, toothbrush, indoor slippers, a notebook and pen, and a custom prepaid card.

• The card carries your name and photograph, or an illustration in place of a photograph if you prefer.

• Issued with ₩5,000 already loaded, and can be topped up at any time.

• Provided for your personal use; nothing needs to be returned.

• Individual items may be substituted with equivalents subject to availability.

Pre-departure lessons

• Two sessions of thirty minutes each, scheduled from approximately ninety days before departure, once your teacher has been assigned.

• Unused sessions cannot be carried over or refunded.

Photos and video

• Photography and filming during your stay are covered by the consent given in your programme agreement.

• Original files are provided after your stay ends, together with one edited short-form video.

• Use of any material on KLV's own channels requires your separate agreement to marketing use.

General

• Stated amounts are estimated values, not sale prices.

• Benefits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.

• These benefits may be ended early or modified, with prior notice.
