Badminton, Banana Milk & Learning Korean, One Game at a Time!
Our July meetup brought us together for badminton, friendly competition, Korean banana milk, and lots of laughter! 🏸🥛 We learned, played, and stayed active together. Even the summer heat couldn’t stop us from having fun, making memories, and enjoying time with friends! ☀️💛

Hello everyone! It’s Korean Language Village!
It’s July, the middle of summer, and it seems like the rainy season has finally come to an end! So, what fun activity can we do this month? After much thought, our kind friend suggested playing badminton together! Isn’t it a great idea? We thought so too! So we gathered our Korean and international friends from the language exchange community to play a game of badminton together!
The weather was unbearably hot, so we played at the badminton court in Gogudongsan Park. Getting there was actually another quest because the court is located up a hill! But thankfully, we managed to make it! We thought we could escape the summer heat inside the court, but it turned out to be just as hot there! The only place where we could cool off was the waiting room. But none of these hardships stopped us from having fun and playing together.
Not everyone knew how to play badminton, so our kind friend who came up with the idea patiently taught those who had never held a badminton racket before! We had a great time playing both one-on-one and in teams! Most of the time, we forgot to keep score and just enjoyed spending time together! One of our friends also treated everyone to the famous Korean banana milk, which made our hearts even warmer than the weather on that day.
Our July meeting was filled with laughter and joy! We not only practiced our language skills and had a great time together, but we also got some exercise! So, our meeting turned out to be a bit of a workout, too! Maybe we’ll go hiking together at one of our future meetings! Who knows?
